Urgent: Pasadena’s Evacuation Center Set To Close 2/15/25.

Hey everyone,

I want to take a moment to update you on an urgent situation affecting our community. The evacuation centers set up for those displaced by the Eaton Fire are officially closing this weekend, leaving many evacuees without stable lodging. This means hundreds of people—including families, elderly residents, and those who have lost everything—are now left to figure out their next steps with little to no support.

This is where Common Unity steps in.

We exist to bridge the gap when systems fall short, and right now, that means making sure these evacuees aren’t left without a place to stay. The goal is to support at least 100 people with two weeks of lodging, and we’re actively rallying partners and community members to make this happen. Our immediate focus is providing $1000 gift cards for lodging to displaced families and individuals to help cover hotel, Airbnb, or other temporary housing costs. Our minimal goal is $100,000, and we believe we can make this happen.

If you’ve been looking for a way to directly impact those affected by the fire, this is it. Every dollar raised will go directly toward housing relief. We’ll also be collecting and sharing testimonials so donors can see exactly where their contributions are going.

How You Can Help:

  • Donate: Every contribution brings us closer to keeping someone housed during this difficult time.

  • Share: Spread the word so we can reach more people willing to support.

  • Partner With Us: If you or your company can help fund or provide lodging, let’s collaborate.

This is about more than just temporary relief—it’s about making sure our community members aren’t forgotten. Common Unity is here to stand in the gap, but we need all hands on deck to make it happen.

Thank you to everyone who has already reached out to offer support. If you’d like to contribute, donate here.

With gratitude,

Iman Europe
